Broadway Church’s “Singing Christmas Tree” is a well-established Vancouver tradition, having now icompleted its 44th year
This year’s Christmas presentation – like in previous years – was seen by close to 20,000 people. It featured a 140+ voice choir, vocal ensembles and 35+ piece orchestra intermingled with drama and dance – a special 90 minute festive presentation designed with the whole family in mind. It’s a performance you won’t want to miss next year!
This year’s story was entitled “Christmas Blessings,” addressing the struggle that oftentimes becomes heightened during the holiday season of wondering “Where is God when there is pain in my life?” Characters Naomi and Nathan looked forward to their dream Christmas wedding on a Hawaiian beach, only to find out that life doesn’t always unfold the way we hope. Mingled with humour and laughter, they faced realities beyond their control, and also discovered that there is hope and blessing to be found in every circumstance that life brings us.
